The School (continuation)
The Christmas vacations are coming, but... it is only a week and a half... a week and a half!!
Third different thing-

Thanksgiving

There is no Thanksgiving where I live.
I was looking forward to this American holiday, and I thought it would be just the way I used to see it on movies.
The turkey was there, but not the whole piece in the center of the table with its golden brown and the big knives for cutting it.
I spent Thanksgiving with the daughter family of my host mother. I got there about eleven in the morning and they started to prepare the turkey, put the table with their fancy plates and silverware, and later two other couples friends of them and a priest arrived.
Thanksgiving... I thought that we were going to hold hands and each person would say a grace or why are they thankful for, but nope, the priest said a prayer and then we started to eat (I was actually preparing days ago what I was going to say thanks for).
But what it did look like the movie-thanksgiving is that there was a lot of dishes to put in my plate; the turkey (none of my favorites but ok), rice, green beans, stuffing, salad, potatoes, sweet potatoes (!!), and maybe something more I can not remember right now. And then there was dessert, all pumpkin this, pumpkin that and yes! pumpkin that other! but all the pumpkin pies were good. And of course everything with one (maybe two) nice glass of red wine.
Then we all helped to clean up (of course men got lost somewhere) and we were all set with a kind leftover pack.
Me and my host mother got home early, because we were going to do the very famous black friday, but that is another story...
happy,
